The main feature of this maple is its outstanding deep shrimp-pink color in the spring. As a second flush appears in the summer, a scarlet color appears against the green leaves. The green leaves are slightly covered with flecks of variegation. Giving the leaf a muted look. Fall color is scarlet. In the winter, the bark will be dull red. Similar to Sango Kaku. Plant will reach 10-12 ft at maturity. Nice for small gardens and containers. Sun/part shade in well-drained soil. Zone 5
